Site Solutions provided complete design including construction documents and construction administration for the Elon Park Elementary School in south-eastern Mecklenburg County. Working with Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools, Mecklenburg County Parks & Recreation and the Mecklenburg County Solid Waste Department, the site was developed to house an 80,000-sf elementary school on 14 acres along Ardrey Kell Road. The Solid Waste department pregraded the site to haul off over 100,000-cy of soil to the adjacent land fill. Site solutions developed the plan further for the school system and to add the first phase of development for the Park department. The park design (Highway 521 Sportsplex) included 4 synthetic soccer fields with a restroom and concession facility. Both park and school opened in 2008.
